GOP legislators reach across the aisle to forge compromise on contracts

State Rep. Tim LeGeyt (R-Canton) will join his Legislative Republican colleagues in offering a compromise proposal during Wednesday’s legislative session requiring an arbitrated union contract with an $87 million price tag to be part of budget negotiations instead of allowing the corrections officers’ pact to become law within the next 30 days, absent legislative approval.
